Phil Wise has always been interested in art and nature. He studied art while in school, pursuing an interest in oil painting and later transitioned into photography. He spent a number of years photographing and exploring the red sandstone desert of Southern Utah.
In the mid-eighties Phil began experimenting with his own printing and mastering of digital paintings. He moved to California in 1987, where he continues to pursue his interest in the desert and ocean environments.
His combined talent of artistic expression and technical expertise has helped him master the new art of digital painting (painting on a computer).
